Gearing Up For ZEISS 'YOU&EYE' AWARDS 2017 With The Jury Members!

ZEISS ‘YOU&EYE’ AWARDS 2017 is here again and this year it is about to get exciting! As we always mention, the aim is to reward the eyewear retailers for the efforts they put in. This year’s Clinical Support Category is going to be judged by the finest. Welcome the jury members: Ms Prema Chande, Mr Nilesh Thithe, Mr Aditya Goyal, Mr Amit Shinde and Dr R Krishna Kumar

The award will be decided on the basis of the technology and equipment as well as the human resource factor that an optician or retail chain utilises while providing vision care services to patients.

Ms Prema Chande has completed her graduation from Sankara Nethralaya’s Elite School Of Optometry in the year 1992, following which she has worked in the Apollo Hospital in Chennai and Adityajyot Eye Hospital, Mumbai. She is now heading Lotus College Of Optometry since 16 years in Juhu, Mumbai.

JuryMr Nilesh Thite is a post graduate in Optometry with over 14 years of teaching experience. He has  3 years corporate experience at Bausch + Lomb, India and has managed educational programs globally for the International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE) for over 3 years.

JuryMr Aditya Goyal graduated from Elite School Of Optometry in 1989. He has completed M.S. in Clinical Pptometry from Pennsylvania college of optometry, Salus University and has been practicing the science and art of optometry since 1991. Additionally, he is also a fellow of COVD and is pursuing PhD and fellowship of NORA at present.

JuryMr Amit Shinde has about 13 years and 4 months of experience in Optometry via Teaching, Program / Project Management, Project Consultancy and Representation over Councils. At present, Amit Shinde is an Associate Professor with Bharati School of Optometry, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University.

JuryDr R Krishna Kumar is the Principal (Head of Department) of the Elite School of Optometry (ESO), unit of the Medical Research Foundation in Chennai, India. The ESO is the first and leading college of optometry providing a 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in clinical optometry, as well as opportunities for MPhil and PhD degrees in association with the Sankara Nethralaya Eye Hospital and Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
